Hello! And welcome to our (slightly delayed) first newsletter of 2024. As we finally wave goodbye to January we have lots to share with you, including a final call for NPQ applications, an update from our friends at the MTPT project, and news from Norfolk Research School. Plus lots of lovely news items below!

BREAKING NEWS!

We are absolutely delighted to let you know that 100% of our autumn 2022 NPQLT and NPQLTD passed their final assessment. Twelve months of hard work and dedication to their professional development has truly paid off for our nine participants in the NPQ in Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and the whopping 18 participants in the NPQ in Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD). Both qualifications are delivered in partnership with the Teacher Development Trust (TDT).

The national pass rates for these qualifications were 95.3% for the LT and 93.4% for the LTD, proving that the Julian Teaching School Hub is a great choice for anyone looking to undertake an NPQ! 

And finally...

This LGBT+ History Month - as every month - we are proud to stand with our LGBTQIA+ siblings.

This year’s theme is Medicine - #UnderTheScope, celebrating the contribution made by people who are LGBTQIA+ to medicine and healthcare throughout history and today. The Key has some great ideas and resources for schools.

Applications close on Monday!

Just a reminder that we can only guarantee local locations for face to face events for NPQs delivered by us with TDT. Other providers may run national cohorts and face to face locations will vary.

Spotlight on... An update for induction tutors from Ben and Lucy

Following our review of the progress and assessment reports submitted last term, we are happy to share with you some general guidance and feedback. Thank you to all those Induction Tutors that completed the reporting cycle in a timely manner. The knowledge of and support offered to the ECTs within schools has some real strengths.

An update from the MTPT Project

The Maternity Teacher, Paternity Teacher (MTPT) Project provides empowering support to all parent-educators. They currently have two fully funded opportunities open for bookings:

• Return to Work workshops
• Parental Leave group coaching programme.

We are delighted to let you know that these opportunities are fully funded for colleagues in Norfolk thanks to sponsorship from the Julian Teaching School Hub and Inspiration Teaching School Hub.
