NPQSL: Meet your facilitators
This NPQ is delivered in partnership with TDT.
If you were fortunate enough to snap up one of the limited funded places on our autumn 2024 NPQH, then here's your chance to meet your facilitators:
Ben Serruys
Ben is an experienced primary school teacher and senior leader who has worked in a variety of settings across Norfolk. He is currently the Director of the Julian Teaching School Hub and Director of Professional Development for St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust. In his role, he supports teachers at all stages of their careers to access high-quality training in a wide variety of formats.

Kate Atkins
Kate is currently on secondment to the Julian Teaching School Hub, where her remit is ITT and NPQs. A significant part of the role is working to engage schools with ITT provision and placements as well as the wider Teaching School Hub offer. She has delivered training to ITT students and ECTs on a variety of subjects across Norfolk. Having undertaken the NPQLTD herself two years ago, she was impressed with the impact the high quality CPD had on her own practice and how she was able to use this learning in her school setting. She currently facilitates across a range of NPQs and is passionate about the power of research driven CPD.
Kate has been Head of Primary / Deputy Head of Litcham School (an all-through school) from September 2015. Since 2023, she has been Synergy Multi-Academy Trust’s Professional Development Lead. Synergy is a Norfolk-based trust which consists of 15 rural and coastal schools. Her focus has been career development and the creation of bespoke training for the staff within the trust, with a particular focus on ECTs and aspirational leaders.
