NPQs for Spring 2025

The Julian TSH is offering the following qualifications beginning in April:

• NPQ SENCO: fully funded for teachers and leaders from all publicly funded schools and 16 to 19 educational organisations, and mandatory for SENCOs to complete within the first three years of taking up the role.
• NPQ in Senior Leadership (NPQSL): funded for teachers and leaders in the top 50% of state-funded schools in England that have the highest proportion of students attracting pupil premium.
• NPQ in Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD): funded for teachers and leaders in the top 50% of state-funded schools in England that have the highest proportion of students attracting pupil premium.

Once again, the total number of funded NPQ places available nationally will be capped. Eligibility for funding does not guarantee a place on a funded NPQ course. This includes the NPQ SENCO.

How do I apply?

You can apply now via Ambition Institute's website. Please be aware that even if the Julian TSH approves your application, you cannot take up a place until you have registered with DfE for your NPQ, even if you’re not eligible for scholarship funding. This is so that DfE can keep your professional record up to date, check and allocate NPQ funding, and issue NPQ certificates. We anticipate that the DfE NPQ portal will open in mid-February.
