"We are delighted to let you know that we have been successful in our bid to deliver the ECT programme from September 2025, for a further 4 years.    

We are very pleased that our programme, which has so far reached 21,717 funded early career teachers and 18,638 funded mentors, has been re-awarded a contract.   

With welcome improvements brought about by the new ITTECF joint framework after feedback from the sector and delivery partners, we are confident that the next iteration of our programme will meet the needs of ECTs, tailoring learning content to their prior knowledge and providing a seamless development journey from ITT.  

Developed in collaboration with education experts, including from Ambition, the ITTECF framework includes the latest evidence and updated content on supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), high-quality oral language, early cognitive development and children's mental health."
